1. Gather your cleaning materials

Mentally prepare yourself for a heavy cleaning process that will happen by thinking clearly and gathering the necessary materials needed in cleaning your child's room.

Some of the cleaning materials needed to efficiently clean your child's room are as follows:

  • Detergent

2. Put all your child's dirty clothes in the hamper and the trash in the trash can.

4. Clean all the necessary surface areas where there might be possible.

Since we are dealing with an enemy we cannot see, it is important to be meticulous and patient in cleaning the areas where the pathogens live!

Sweep or mop the floor where your child plays with a detergent in order to kill the living pathogens in the surface area. You can also choose disinfectants such as bleach or Clorox but just make sure to put on some mask while doing the cleaning and make sure your child is nowhere near to the cleaning site!

Make sure to wipe and clean light-touch surface areas such as remote control that your child touches, doorknobs, toilets if your child's room has one. You can also vacuum if you wish to remove all the dirt and grime left from your cleaning.

5. Replace and refresh the bed and curtains.

After the actual cleaning, if it is deemed necessary, change the bed sheet and the pillows with fresh and clean sheets!
