Cleaning your Bags

Proper maintenance of your bags

It is deemed necessary to sanitize your bag everyone in a month and twice if you have carried your bag in public places and special occasions.

Always carry a hand sanitizer or alcohol in your bag to make sure that the hands touching it is clean and free from disease-causing pathogens like corona virus.

Before cleaning always determine the type of fabric of your bag.

Determine if your bag is made of leather, nylon, or any other kind of material, usually, you can see what type of material it is made in by looking at the tag located inside.

If you can't find it is best to research because aside from properly cleaning and disinfecting your bag we should be able to clean it efficiently without actually damaging the material.

Clean your bags!

1.Leather Bags

Leather bags are quite easy to clean but can be quite tricky, you cannot and should never use any alcohol-based wipes to clean your leather bags because it can cause serious and irreversible damage to the material.

Instead, opt for alcohol-free wipes, clean it delicately and light-handedly, do not wipe it hard, be gentle in wiping the entirety of the bag. After this opt to air-dry the leather goods and never dry them out in the sun.

2.Canvas Bags or Nylon Bags

For canvas and nylon, you can hand wash it with a mild detergent soap mixed in water or you can clean using a washing machine set on a cool water setting, also make sure that the machine is set only on a gentle cycle.

The improper washing canvas and nylon such as putting the machine under heat tends to destroy the fibers of nylon and canvas, making it old and dull. Be sure to leave it in a cold setting.

After that, air dries the nylon bags, turn the bags inside out to further dry the bag, never use a hairdryer, dryer, or even direct sunlight in drying out the bag because it can cause irreversible damage to the material.

3. PVC Bags, totes and another delicate and luxurious type of material or fabric

These types of materials usually wear and tear after putting them in the washing machine, that's why it is not necessary and advised to put them in the machine.

Instead, you should only wash these bags with cool water along with a mild and gentle detergent, possibly the one with no harsh chemicals or fragrances in it.

Also do not put bleach, vinegar, or hydrogen peroxide if these certain bags need certain care namely — ink, makeup stains, vomit grease stains, mold build-up, scratches.

Only use mild soap detergent with water in cleaning these luxury items and if your still not satisfied you can opt them to the experts.
